About The Position

First Steps Nursing and Therapy is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide one-on-one care for pediatric and young-adult patients in their homes in the Converse area. We have full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunities available. We offer consistent scheduling opportunities, ongoing training, and professional development. Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Texas RN or LVN license
• Current CPR certification
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform required physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and transfers

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric or high-acuity experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to complete required in-office and on-site training

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to the assigned patient
• Assess the patient’s condition and document observations
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies
• Monitor and manage G-tube and respiratory needs
• Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care when assigned to a high-acuity case
• Perform vital signs and ongoing nursing assessments
• Communicate changes in condition to the nursing supervisor and/or physician
• Educate and support family members and caregivers
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in Kantime
