About The Position

First Steps Nursing and Therapy is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide one-on-one care for a pediatric patient in the home setting. This is a school-based nursing case in NISD for a 10-year-old patient with G-tube care and ambulatory needs (Low Acuity). The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, located in Boerne/Fair Oaks Ranch, TX 78015.

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Texas RN or LVN license
• Current CPR certification
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform required physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and transfers

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric or high-acuity experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to complete required in-office and on-site training

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to the assigned patient
• Assess the patient’s condition and document observations
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies
• Provide and manage G-tube, ventilator, and tracheostomy care
• Monitor vital signs and perform ongoing nursing assessments
• Communicate changes in condition to the nursing supervisor and/or physician
• Educate and support family members and caregivers
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in Kantime
