Pediatric Private Duty LVN – Bilingual Spanish
About The Position
MedCare Pediatric is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes. The role serves children with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery, helping them remain safely with their families rather than in an inpatient facility. Nurses work structured 8–12-hour shifts and provide individualized care, documentation, and collaboration with families and the interdisciplinary care team. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available in the Greater Houston area and surrounding communities, with day, night, weekday, and weekend shifts. The posted pay range is $22–$26 per hour, with night and weekend differentials.
Requirements
- Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance.
- At least 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled one-on-one nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes during 8–12-hour shifts.
- Assess patient conditions during each visit, including monitoring vital signs and seizure activity, and providing care for gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes), tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to the individualized plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to support quality patient outcomes.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
