Private Duty LVN
About The Position
BrightStar Care of Lubbock is hiring a dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one private duty care in Lubbock, Texas. The position is a PRN evening shift scheduled from 9 p.m. to midnight, with weekly pay of $22–$25 per hour. The patient can assist with transfers and will guide the nurse through an established nighttime routine. The LVN will support the patient’s evening care, including medications, transfers, repositioning, stretching, urinary drainage bag care, CPAP use, toileting, and routine safety and comfort checks. The nurse will follow the established nighttime routine and complete required documentation. Benefits are available to eligible full-time team members.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license.
- At least 1 year of documented experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Own device and reliable internet connection to access the schedule and complete charting.
- Dependable, compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with evening medications and the bedtime routine.
- Assist with transfers using a transfer board.
- Reposition the patient for comfort and safety.
- Assist with hand, wrist, leg, and toe stretches.
- Provide urinary drainage bag care and monitor for blockages.
- Assist with CPAP setup and use.
- Occasionally assist with suprapubic catheter changes.
- Assist with toileting as needed.
- Perform routine safety and comfort checks.
- Follow the established nighttime routine and complete required documentation.
