Private Duty LVN
About The Position
BrightStar Care of Lubbock is hiring a dependable LVN to provide one-on-one private duty care during a consistent three-hour evening shift in Lubbock, Texas. The patient can assist with transfers and will guide the nurse through an established nighttime routine. The role is PRN, scheduled from 9 p.m. to midnight, and pays $22–$25 per hour with weekly pay. The LVN assists with evening medications, bedtime care, transfers, repositioning, stretching, urinary drainage bag care, CPAP setup and use, toileting, and routine safety and comfort checks. The nurse may occasionally assist with suprapubic catheter changes and is responsible for following the established nighttime routine and completing required documentation. Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Texas LVN license.
- At least 1 year of documented experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Own device and reliable internet connection required to access the schedule and complete charting.
- Dependable, compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist with evening medications and the bedtime routine.
- Assist with transfers using a transfer board.
- Reposition the patient for comfort and safety.
- Assist with hand, wrist, leg, and toe stretches.
- Provide urinary drainage bag care and monitor for blockages.
- Assist with CPAP setup and use.
- Occasionally assist with suprapubic catheter changes.
- Assist with toileting as needed.
- Perform routine safety and comfort checks.
- Follow the established nighttime routine and complete required documentation.
