About The Position
The Pediatric Craniofacial and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Service at Strictly Pediatric Professional Building in Austin, Texas is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join their team. This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system. The role involves empowering families and caregivers through compassionate counseling and education regarding preventative health, specialized treatment options, and vital community resources. The provider will coordinate holistic patient support by managing health conditions directly and facilitating seamless referrals to specialized healthcare providers and support networks. Additionally, the role requires documenting the complete patient journey with precision, maintaining accurate and high-quality medical records in accordance with specialty standards and network policies. The practice setting is outpatient, with a required night call rotation and weekend rotation.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Master's degree of Nursing required.
Nice To Haves
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
- 2 years of relevant experience
