About The Position

Esse Health is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded Pediatric physician who is actively practicing in the local community to join their team. The ideal candidate will have an established patient following and the ability to bring patients with them as they begin their new practice with Esse Health. This is an outpatient practice with opportunities for newborn rounding and flexibility to focus on clinical interests such as ADHD, mental health, and obesity. Physicians will have the opportunity to mentor and teach medical students and residents if desired. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible with plans to certify (AB or AOA).
  • Missouri licensed or eligible to obtain licensure in Missouri.
  • Actively practicing in the local community.
  • Established patient following and ability to bring patients to the practice.

Responsibilities

  • Practice medicine in a patient-centered, collaborative, and innovative environment.
  • Build and grow a patient panel, bringing existing patients to the practice.
  • Collaborate with a team of two Pediatric physician partners and additional Pediatricians and multi-disciplinary colleagues.
  • Gradually take over a physician’s panel with mentorship and warm patient hand-offs.
  • Perform newborn rounding and focus on clinical interests.
  • Mentor and teach medical students and residents if desired.
  • Conduct in-office procedures based on physician preference (e.g., abscesses, Nexplanon, Dermabond, suturing, Steri-Strips).
  • Utilize in-house testing for strep, RSV, flu, COVID, pregnancy, etc.
  • Partner with a dedicated support team including an office manager, Medical Assistants, and other support staff.
  • Utilize telehealth, NextGen EMR, AI scribe technology, and Dragon dictation.
  • Participate in a collaborative culture where physicians have access to leadership and influence clinical, operational, and strategic decisions.
  • Deliver care within a value-based care model aligned with quality, sustainability, and long-term success.
  • Focus on high-quality, outcome-focused care emphasizing prevention and whole-person health.
  • Build longitudinal relationships with patients.
