About The Position

We are seeking a Pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Amarillo. This part-time position involves performing comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under the guidance of a Supervising Physical Therapist, developing home exercise programs, and collaborating with patients' caregivers and other healthcare providers. The role requires meeting weekly patient visit quotas, timely completion of all required documentation, and active participation in agency meetings to ensure high-quality patient care. All duties must be performed in compliance with agency policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations for home-health pediatric physical therapy.

Requirements

  • A current/active license to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Texas.
  • An innovative spirit complemented by a demonstrated history of reliability.
  • Flexibility to shift resources and priorities as necessary, based on the needs of the business.
  • Ability to use common workplace technology (laptop computer, phone, email, web browser).

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • 3+ years as a pediatric Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Experience in a home-health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive Physical Therapy treatments under Supervising Physical Therapist goals and treatment plans.
  • Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers.
  • Act as a vital member of your patients’ medical neighborhoods, collaborating and coordinating care between various providers and disciplines.
  • Complete a minimum number of patient visits on a weekly basis as required by the agency.
  • Meet deadlines for completion of patient chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and all other paperwork as needed.
  • Meet with agency personnel as necessary to maintain understanding of expectations and standards related to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all rules, regulations, codes of ethics, guidelines and federal, state and local laws applicable to home-health pediatric physical therapy.
