The Department of Orthopedics at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill is seeking a full-time fellowship-trained Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon. Responsibilities include patient care, education, scholarly activity, outreach, and involvement in the fellowship program. This position aims to expand the current division of 5 pediatric orthopedic surgeons and 3 non-surgical providers, serving a growing population in North Carolina. UNC Chapel Hill is the state's single tertiary referral center for pediatric orthopedics within the public health system, committed to excellent clinical care and serving underserved populations. The role involves a busy clinical practice, on-campus academic activities such as educating fellows, residents, and medical students, and engaging in basic science research, clinical research, and service line development. Interest in neuromuscular disorders, limb deformity, spine, and general pediatric orthopedics is preferred. The clinical practice will be in Chapel Hill and potentially outreach clinics, with surgeries at UNC Hospitals Children’s Hospital or the Ambulatory Surgery Center. This position will also cover call at UNC Hospitals Main Campus for both adult and pediatric patients.
