About The Position

Altheda Medical Center is expanding and restructuring its pediatric services in Brentwood, PA through an affiliated pediatric clinic. This location is undergoing active operational and staffing transition and is being supported under Altheda’s management, hiring, and clinical operations framework. We are seeking a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner who values professionalism, structure, and high-quality pediatric care, and who is comfortable practicing in a clinic that is stabilizing and evolving. Altheda Medical Center is a growing outpatient healthcare organization providing primary care, pediatrics, psychiatry, and urgent care services across the Pittsburgh region. We emphasize patient-centered care, operational discipline, and sustainable practice growth. The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents. This role is on-site in Brentwood and works in collaboration with Altheda’s clinical and operational leadership. This clinic is in an active transition phase. Altheda is implementing improved workflows, staffing structure, and operational standards. Candidates should be comfortable with some degree of change and understand that improvement is a process. This role is best suited for clinicians who value accountability, professionalism, and contributing to a healthier clinic culture.

Requirements

  • Current Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Comfort managing pediatric well and sick visits independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification preferred (open to new graduates).
  • Family Nurse Practitioner certification accepted with demonstrated pediatric outpatient experience (open to new graduates).

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality outpatient pediatric care including well-child and sick visits.
  • Conduct developmental screenings and preventive counseling.
  • Diagnose and manage common pediatric conditions.
  • Administer and manage pediatric immunization schedules.
  • Document accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff and leadership to support workflow improvement.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful environment for patients and staff.
