About The Position

Atrium Health Levine Children’s (AHLC) is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their Pediatric Neurology team. The PNP, FNP, or PA-C will assist the team in providing care for children under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed physician. This is a hybrid role encompassing both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The APP will work in both the Concord clinic and Jeff Gordon Children’s Hospital in Concord, NC. This position does not require weekends or call.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an APP working in either pediatrics or neurology.
• Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina.
• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice required (NP Applicants).
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA Applicants).

Nice To Haves

• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred (PA Applicants)

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed.
• Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care.
• Writes appropriate prescriptions, orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations, and determines treatment plan for patients.
• Documents all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient's medical record.
• Attends, participates, and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.
