Neurology Headache - Full Time NP/PA
About The Position
Atrium Health Neurosciences Institute – Neurology seeks a qualified Neurology Advanced Practice Professional (PA/NP) to join our outpatient team and provide care to patients in our Headache Clinic at Atrium Health Neurology-Southpark. This is a rare opportunity to join a brand-new clinic location with our team of experienced neurology providers. You will collaborate closely with our neurology providers to provide continuity care for our headache patients. Major responsibilities include providing both direct and indirect care in the ambulatory setting. We invest in the professional and clinical growth of our Neurology APP team offering numerous leadership, academic, and research opportunities. We are looking for someone that is eager to learn, driven, and motivated to provide the highest level of clinical care. Our APPs are involved in quality improvement initiatives and support the ongoing education of our team and learners (other APPs, APP students/fellows, nurses, and new clinical teammates). Our Atrium Health Neurology team consists of over 60 physicians and 30+ APPs across Charlotte fostering an engaged and collaborative environment. Our established APP Leadership structure, alongside our Center for Advanced Practice, provides support, advocacy, and numerous opportunities for professional growth while prioritizing well-being and cultural safety for our team.
Requirements
- Prior APP experience in Neurology, Primary Care, urgent care or ED strongly preferred.
- Candidate must be driven and have passion for innovation and collaboration as this will be a new area of practice for our expanding APP Team.
- Strong clinical knowledge base with academic desire.
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation and treatment for new referrals as well as established headache patients.
- Providing both direct and indirect care in the ambulatory setting.
- Involved in quality improvement initiatives.
- Support the ongoing education of our team and learners (other APPs, APP students/fellows, nurses, and new clinical teammates).
