About The Position
Affirmed Home Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for an 11-year-old male pediatric client in New Britain, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pediatric LPN who is comfortable caring for medically complex children and has experience with tracheostomy care, G-tube care, Hoyer lift transfers, and seizure management. There is a current weekend opening for this position.
Requirements
- Active Connecticut LPN license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with tracheostomy and G-tube care required
- Experience with Hoyer lift transfers required
- Pediatric seizure management experience required
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Current physical completed within the last 12 months
- Current TB screening (PPD or QuantiFERON within one year) or chest X-ray, if applicable
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience preferred (home care, hospital, or acute care)
- Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for an 11-year-old male pediatric client.
- Administer care for clients with Cerebral palsy, Tracheostomy, G-tube, Hoyer lift, and Seizure management needs.
- Perform one-on-one pediatric skilled nursing care.
