Pediatric Hospitalist
About The Position
We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a Locum Tenens position in McMinnville, OR. This inpatient role involves providing call-only coverage for the Birthing Center, which has 8 beds and is a Level I Nursery. The average daily patient volume is 1-3, with 1-2 admissions. Responsibilities include admissions, rounding, discharge, attending high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and managing pediatric patients in the nursery and PICU as needed. The position requires performing procedures such as intubation, chest tube placement, and central line placement. Call coverage is scheduled on a 24-hour beeper basis with a 1:5 ratio and a 30-minute response time.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
- Oregon (OR) License
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
Nice To Haves
- Ability to attend C-sections/high risk deliveries
- Ability to perform intubation (Newborn, Pediatrics)
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient pediatric hospitalist coverage including admissions, rounding, and discharge.
- Attend high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal resuscitation.
