About The Position
Centria Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) to provide skilled nursing care in a 1:1 home care setting for a 1-year-old patient in Saginaw, MI. The patient requires trach and vent care. This role offers a great family environment. Nurses should be comfortable around pets, as there are three cats in the home, and physically able to handle transfers, including lifting the client between the bed and floor. The schedule is from 11:00 pm to 11:00 am.
Requirements
- Active LPN or RN license in the state of Michigan
- Comfortable around pets (three cats in the home)
- Physically able to handle transfers, including lifting the client between the bed and floor
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Nice To Haves
- Home care or private duty experience preferred
- Trach/vent experience a plus (training provided)
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care (trach/vent care, medication administration, catheter care)
- Monitor and document patient condition and vital signs
- Assist with daily living activities (ADLs)
- Communicate with families and care teams
- Maintain safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
