RN/LVN Pediatric Home Health Nurse-NIGHTS
About The Position
Children's Home Healthcare provides pediatric home healthcare to medically complex children, with cases ranging from low to high acuity. The nurse provides compassionate care to pediatric patients and performs nursing procedures appropriate to their training and judgment. The role includes collaborating with the clinical supervisor on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care; providing health counseling, emotional support, and parental education; and coordinating care with other agencies and physician offices involved in the patient's care. The position requires an RN or LVN license. Three night shifts are open. An extern program with training opportunities is available for new graduates and nurses with little to no experience.
Requirements
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
- Current, valid CPR card for healthcare workers.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and fill in when needed.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
- Current driver's license and auto insurance, and ability to operate an automobile.
- Ability to be completely mobile to lift and transfer a patient from one location to another.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing procedures within the skills and judgment provided by the nurse’s training.
- Participate in patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with the clinical supervisor.
- Provide health counseling, emotional support, and parental education.
- Coordinate care with other agencies and physician offices involved in patient care.
- Be willing to fill in when needed.
- Lift and transfer patients between locations.
