The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital is recruiting a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology attending to join the Acute Care Oncology team in Seattle, Washington. This is a full-time position at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level. We are seeking candidates committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service within a diverse and inclusive academic environment. The successful candidate will join our faculty on a full-time basis for a twelve-month appointment, renewable annually, starting in the fall/winter of 2026. Responsibilities include providing in-hospital overnight attending care for medical issues in Hematology, Oncology, and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) patients, as well as supervising and clinically teaching residents. Applicants should be comfortable providing inpatient care for sick children. Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July 1 - June 30), with one month available for paid time off. The Department of Pediatrics, the second largest in the UW School of Medicine, comprises twenty-one clinical divisions with approximately 1,400 academic appointments, including about 650 paid faculty, 134 residents, 70 ACGME fellows, 230 staff, and over 600 volunteer/affiliate faculty, and continues to expand. The Department is closely affiliated with Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) and Seattle Children's Research Institute (SCRI). Faculty are located at various institutions including Seattle Children’s, UW Medicine, and FHCRC, and are part of the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) clinical practice plan.
