About The Position

Saint Francis Health System seeks a Pediatric Gastroenterologist for the Children’s Hospital of Saint Francis in Tulsa. This role involves evaluating and managing pediatric gastroenterology medical conditions through diagnosis and treatment, providing direct patient care, communicating with patient family members, and maintaining accurate patient medical records in accordance with federal, state, and company guidelines. The position requires participation as a team member, regular communication with other providers and disciplines, and attendance at appropriate administrative meetings with follow-up. This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act.

Requirements

• Medical degree
• Valid license from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
• Board certified in pediatrics
• Completed residency training in pediatrics
• Completed fellowship training in pediatric gastroenterology

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage pediatric gastroenterology medical conditions by means of diagnosis and treatment
• Direct patient care
• Communicate when appropriate with family members of patients
• Provide accurate documentation in patient's medical record in accordance with federal, state and company guidelines
• Participate as a team member, communicating with other providers and disciplines on a regular basis as needed
• Attend appropriate administrative meetings with appropriate follow-up
