About The Position

Rady Children’s Health (RCH) is a leading pediatric healthcare system in Southern California, formed by the unification of Children’s Healthcare of California (CHOC) and Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego. CHOC Specialists, a division of RCH–Orange (CHOC), comprises over 500 physicians and advanced practice providers across 26 pediatric subspecialties. The Pediatric Gastroenterology Division at CHOC is a large, collegial team of physicians and advanced practice providers known for clinical excellence, mentorship, and academic growth. This position is with the Pediatric Subspecialty Faculty (PSF), a private pediatric subspecialty group that serves as the employer. CHOC Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join its growing GI division. This role involves caring for medically complex children in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with an interest in nutrition being appreciated. The position offers participation in academic teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives, including involvement with the UCI-affiliated pediatric residency program.

Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology
  • Eligible for California medical licensure
  • Demonstrated commitment to team-based care, clinical excellence, and lifelong learning

Responsibilities

  • Care for children with a wide range of chronic gastroenterology and liver conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
