Geisinger is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) fellowship-trained physician to join our dynamic and growing team at Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) in Danville, Pennsylvania. Geisinger Medical Center (GMC) in Danville, PA, is the region’s largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital, licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds within the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital. As a Magnet-designated hospital, GMC is nationally recognized for nursing excellence and patient care quality. GMC is home to the region’s only Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatric trauma care, making it a critical hub for emergency and specialty services.

Requirements

MD or DO degree
Board-certified/board-eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
Completion of an ACGME-accredited PEM fellowship
Strong clinical, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Interest in program development, medical education, and research
Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

Lead initiatives in education, quality improvement, and clinical innovation.
Practice high-quality, innovative pediatric emergency care.
Work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team of pediatric emergency professionals.
Participate in system-building roles in IT, QI/PI, and clinical pathway development.
Engage in medical education for EM, Pediatric, and Med-Peds residents, and medical students.
Participate in simulation training, clinical research, and administrative leadership.
Contribute to fellowship opportunities in Ultrasound, Clinical Informatics, and more.
