About The Position

Grow your career with the largest private employer of Registered Dietitians! Sodexo is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for Sunrise Hospital located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sunrise Hospital is the largest acute care facility and comprehensive children's hospital in Nevada (900-bed Trauma Center). This position is clinically focused and will provide nutritional care to a variety of inpatients, including the ICU.

Requirements

A Registered Dietitian and licensed or eligible to obtain in NV
At least 2 years of prior acute care experience, ICU preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good time management skills, be a self-starter and a work well as a team player and independently
The ability to work well and develop strong relations with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
The ability to Work a rotating weekend schedule as needed
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Provide nutritional care to pediatric patients and a variety of inpatients, including the ICU
Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
Educate health care team members, including physicians and nurses
Work a rotating weekend schedule as needed
