About The Position

Wanuck & Hier is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join its team and provide dental care in a welcoming, child-friendly environment. The practice is willing to train the right person, whether they are new to the field or have some experience. This is a part-time position working two days per week at the primary location in Jupiter. No evenings, holidays, or weekends are required. The listed pay range is $20–$25.

Requirements

Willingness to learn and grow in the dental field.
Dental Radiology and Expanded Functions certification.
Completion of a Dental Assistant course.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare and organize dental treatment rooms and instruments before patient appointments.
Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and helping ensure patient comfort.
Sterilize and disinfect dental tools and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records in dental software such as Dentrix, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients and guardians about oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care using clear, empathetic communication.
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times.
Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and materials.
Follow body-motion and ergonomic best practices to support personal health and safety during clinical tasks.
