About The Position

Our Licensed Psychologist provide therapy and diagnostic testing to children, and behavioral consulting to their families. Our therapy methods include play therapy, trauma-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and collaborative problem solving. This role provides psychology and psychiatry services for families whose children and adolescents, ages 2 to 18 who are experiencing behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and emotional challenges such as depression, anxiety, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders. Must possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development and have experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests. An understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan is preferred.

Requirements

  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an APA accredited institution.
  • Ability to use a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
  • Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain.
  • American Heart Association CPR must be obtained prior to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care.
  • Prior experience or postdoc experience in a pediatric setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and develop outstanding leadership skills.
  • Understanding of the ecological, biological, genetic, and developmental factors that promote health across the lifespan.
