The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Health at Children’s Mercy Kansas City is recruiting psychologists at all levels of experience or rank to join their team and expand access to mental and behavioral health care to the youth of the region. The pediatric psychology team provides care to patients across 31+ integrated programs. They are recruiting psychologists skilled in working with youth with medical complexity and within multidisciplinary teams across outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience conducting targeted outpatient consultations, brief evidence-based interventions, pre-surgical evaluations, inpatient consultation/liaison, multidisciplinary care conferences, and targeted evaluation is desired. The position includes teaching in the hospital’s pediatric medical and psychology training programs, with protected academic time for service, research, and other scholarly activities. Faculty mentoring is provided, with additional support for those interested in clinical scholarship. This position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, with rank commensurate to qualifications and experience. The division is growing and expanding programs as part of the institution’s Mental and Behavioral Health Strategic Plan.
