About The Position

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist for our Winter Garden, Florida clinic. This is a full-time opportunity to join an expanding program dedicated to meeting the growing needs of Central Florida. The role involves diagnosing and treating congenital and acquired heart conditions in infants, children, and adolescents, providing comprehensive outpatient cardiology care. There are also opportunities for involvement in community outreach, patient education, and program development to advance preventive cardiology efforts. Nemours Children’s Cardiac Center, Florida is a nationally recognized pediatric cardiac center providing comprehensive care for children with congenital and acquired heart conditions. The center integrates advanced clinical services, research, and innovation. Services include fetal cardiology, pediatric and adult congenital cardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure management, and complex cardiac surgery. The surgical program performs over 125 pediatric heart surgeries annually. The center features advanced imaging and diagnostic capabilities, including 3D echocardiography, cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, and ICAEL-accredited echocardiography laboratories. A 3D printing lab produces patient-specific heart models. Research is supported by a dedicated Cardiovascular Services Research Department focusing on epigenetics, AI and data analytics, imaging innovation, and neurodevelopmental outcomes. The program maintains a CAP-accredited biobank and participates in national registries and research networks. The heart center emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration among surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, imaging specialists, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or international equivalent (MBBS, MBChB, etc.) from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, collaboration, and advancing children’s cardiovascular health.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with interest in exercise physiology or preventative cardiology are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated expertise or strong interest in Preventive Cardiology or Exercise Physiology (additional fellowship training not required).
