Physician, Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology (Sacramento, CA)
About The Position
Sutter Medical Group seeks a board-eligible or board-certified Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist to provide operating-room services and anesthesia and sedation outside the operating room at Sutter Medical Center Sacramento. The position is based at a well-established tertiary-care children's center with a full spectrum of pediatric surgical and medical specialties and a thriving cardiovascular surgery program. Clinical coverage includes a combination of cardiac and general pediatric anesthesia. The role is open to 0.50–1.00 FTE. The Children's Center includes Northern California's largest NICU, a 20-bed PICU/Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU, general pediatric floors, and a dedicated pediatric emergency department. The physician will collaborate with pediatric surgical subspecialists and medical specialists. Sutter Medical Group is a multi-specialty group of more than 1,600 clinicians practicing across seven Northern California counties. Its clinicians also participate in teaching, research, leadership, community outreach, and volunteer work.
Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified (BE/BC).
- Experience with blocks.
Responsibilities
- Provide operating-room anesthesia services for pediatric patients.
- Provide anesthesia and sedation services outside the operating room.
- Provide a combination of cardiac and general pediatric anesthesia.
- Collaborate with pediatric surgical and medical subspecialists.
