About The Position

We are seeking three Pediatric Advanced Practice Clinicians to join our Virtual Primary Care and Extended Care multisite practice. This position is a hybrid role, involving work on both the Virtual Primary Care (VPC) and Extended Care (EC) platforms. In the VPC role, clinicians are supported by a physician team and may provide in-office visits as coverage. Services include nutrition counseling, parent education, virtual house calls, chronic disease management, and behavioral health consultation. The EC component involves providing in-person after-hours care on Friday evenings and alternating Saturdays and Sundays. Providers will experience a mix of virtual/remote and direct patient care, allowing for the maintenance of physical exam skills, development of virtual skills, and direct interaction with children and families, offering a unique work-life harmony. The Extended Care location will be open from 5-9 pm M-F and 8a-8p on Sat and Sun.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in pediatric primary care
  • Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
  • Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state one works.
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in SC required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
  • Demonstrates appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and concentrate.
  • Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.

Nice To Haves

  • ACNP, AGACNP, AGNP, PNP, or PNP-AC board certification preferred based population served.

Responsibilities

  • Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments.
  • Records findings of examinations, assessments and plan of care.
  • Performs minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures.
  • Writes appropriate prescriptions and administers medications.
  • Orders and interprets daily laboratory and radiology examinations.
  • Determines treatment plan for patient.
  • Documents all patient encounters, records observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner on the patient's medical record.
  • Acts as a patient advocate for the population served.
  • Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested.
