About The Position
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is employed by the agency and is responsible for providing select physical therapy interventions. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plan of care (POC) under the direction and supervision of the Physical Therapist (PT). This position is located in the Upper Valley (Edinburg, McAllen, Mission Area) and serves both day and after-school clients.
Requirements
- Must be able to treat both pediatrics and adults' clients.
- Current and unrestricted license in Texas.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable car and auto insurance.
- CPR-BLS.
- Current PT license for Texas.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide the client with the best treatment and direct patient care using sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Work collaboratively with team members to help meet positive client care outcomes.
- Assist in providing a safe environment for the client.
- Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the therapy process.
