About The Position

Children's Hospital of Michigan, a member of the Detroit Medical Center, is seeking a Pediatric Adolescent Medicine Physician. This academic opportunity involves caring for an underserved adolescent population, teaching, mentoring, and shaping the next generation of pediatricians within one of the nation's largest pediatric residency programs. The position is full-time, employed within the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, with a clinical schedule of 8 sessions per week (4-hour blocks). Responsibilities include inpatient consult service coverage 3 days per week (rotating every third week) and shared beeper call on an every-third-week rotation. The patient population spans ages 11-21, covering routine physicals, reproductive health, eating disorders, and behavioral health management. The role includes an academic appointment with active involvement in medical student and resident education, as well as opportunities for quality improvement initiatives, research, and cross-specialty academic collaboration.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics.
  • Fellowship training in Adolescent Medicine required.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adolescent Medicine.
  • Academic experience in one or more of the following: medical student, resident, or fellow instruction; curriculum development; evaluation and skills assessment.
  • Must be eligible to obtain Michigan medical licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Care for an underserved adolescent population.
