About The Position

Children's Hospital of Michigan, a member of the Detroit Medical Center, is seeking a Pediatric Adolescent Medicine Physician for an academic opportunity. This role involves caring for an underserved adolescent population (ages 11-21) while teaching and mentoring medical students and residents within one of the nation's largest pediatric residency programs. The hospital is recognized by U.S. News & World Report and offers a strong clinical, research, and academic environment. The position is full-time within the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, with a clinical schedule of 8 sessions per week (4-hour blocks), inpatient consult service coverage rotating every third week, and shared beeper call on the same rotation. Services cover routine physicals, reproductive health, eating disorders, and behavioral health management. The role includes an academic appointment with active involvement in medical student and resident education, and opportunities for quality improvement, research, and cross-specialty collaboration.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics
  • Fellowship training in Adolescent Medicine required; Board Eligible or Board Certified in Adolescent Medicine
  • Academic experience in one or more of the following: medical student, resident, or fellow instruction; curriculum development; evaluation and skills assessment
  • Must be eligible to obtain Michigan medical licensure
