About The Position

Santa Clara Catholic Academy is seeking a PE Teacher/Athletic Director for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves managing all aspects of the school's athletic program while also teaching Physical Education to students in PreK through 8th grade. The position reports directly to the principal.

Requirements

Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCB ED.
Experience teaching PE/athletics at the elementary/middle school level.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a Catholic school.
Experience as an Athletic Director at the middle school level.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of the athletic program.
Teach PE to grades PK-8.
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
Provide leadership, oversight, and management of all aspects of the athletic program.
Promote the role of athletics in the overall program of student formation.
Oversee the procurement and organization of all athletic equipment and storage spaces.
Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
Communicate regularly with parents, teachers and administration regarding the athletic program.
Attend all Diocesan Athletic Director meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
