About The Position

This role is responsible for creating patterns and mock-up sample frames for New Product Development (NPD). The Pattern Maker will develop samples and production pieces with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring they are built on time using the best construction methods. The position also involves making improvement accommodations for current upholstery, assisting in documenting spec sheets for parts and materials, and generating products and services from inception to commercialization. The Pattern Maker will work closely with the manager to develop prototypes for products.

Responsibilities

• Make patterns and mock-up sample frames for New Product Development (NPD).
• Develop samples as well as production pieces with high attention to detail.
• Produce high quality samples, built on time, using the best construction methods.
• Make improvement accommodations for current upholstery.
• Upholster, trim, complete skirt detail, make cutting patterns, and develop poly patterns.
• Assist in documenting spec sheets for parts and materials (springs, webbing, poly, etc.).
• Generate products and services from inception to commercialization for customers.
• Work closely with manager to develop prototypes for products.
• Train associates on how to build new styles when going into production.
