About The Position

Cut dry decorative patterns into specific lengths with an emphasis on quality. This role involves prioritizing daily cutting tasks, setting up material for the cutting machine, and meticulously checking for defects before cutting. The Pattern Cutter must adhere to Product Quality Department specifications for length and ensure all cuts are neat and square. Additionally, the role requires accurate use of the bar code or ORACLE system, completion of all computer and paperwork, and proper rolling of cut material for the Assembly area. Stock rewinds are also part of the responsibilities when hand cut schedules are met. Regular attendance is mandatory, and other appropriate duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge of Product Quality Department standards for quality and correct lengths.
Knowledge of safety standards applicable to department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Working knowledge of computers.
One year of work experience.

Nice To Haves

Six months sheeter room or assembly rack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prioritize material needed to be cut daily.
Set up material to be run through cutting machine.
Check all material prior to cutting for defective paper and notify management if any is found.
Cut material to Product Quality Department specified lengths.
Follow all ISO procedures as written.
Make sure all material that is cut is cut neat and square.
Maintain proper usage of bar code system as required or ORACLE system.
Make sure all computer work and paper work has been accurately completed.
Roll up runs in neat, easy to handle rolls for the Assembly area.
Do needed and stock rewinds when hand cut schedules are covered.
Regular attendance required.
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
