We are building the newest U.S. memory fab, and the ID1 team is at the center of that growth! Our Process and Equipment Engineering organization is shaping how advanced DRAM manufacturing comes to scale, combining deep technical expertise with strong collaboration across Micron. This is a rare opportunity to help define a factory from the ground up. In this role, you will play a critical part in building and leading the ID1 process engineering teams for PVD and CVD. You will hire and develop new engineers, establish training pipelines, and partner closely with global manufacturing fabs to ensure a smooth transition to high-volume manufacturing in Boise. Your leadership will directly impact safety, capability, and long-term manufacturing success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering field
  • Senior Engineer level or higher with prior people leadership experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct films experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving results across complex projects
  • Strong technical communication and problem-solving skills

  • Experience building and scaling new teams or manufacturing areas
  • Background supporting high-volume manufacturing ramp or fab start-up
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across global organizations
  • Experience presenting technical topics to senior leaders or large audiences

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the ID1 PVD/CVD process engineering teams, including hiring, onboarding, and development
  • Define team strategy, performance targets, and succession plans aligned to factory goals
  • Partner with manufacturing, facilities, procurement, and suppliers to support tool qualification and capacity readiness
  • Provide technical leadership and support for process qualification and manufacturing alignment
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Micron safety and people policies
