About The Position
Patient Care Technicians provide high-quality care to patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The role monitors patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording statistics, initiating cannulation, observing patients, and setting up hemodialysis machines. The position is a float role providing coverage for clinics in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Desire to care for people and comfort working around blood and needles.
- Dialysis experience.
- Experienced PCTs must hold current certification from BONENT, NNCC, NNCO, or another applicable state-approved certification.
- Experienced PCTs must hold current BLS/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
- Measure and record patient statistics.
- Initiate cannulation.
- Observe patients during treatment.
- Set up hemodialysis machines.
- Provide coverage for clinics in MA, NY, and CT.
