About The Position

Leidos Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking a PCBA Soldering Technician-2nd shift to join their team that produces a variety of Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA’s). This role involves hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on low, medium and high density printed circuit boards (PCBs), including rework of various electronic packages. The position requires working independently under limited supervision and collaborating within a team environment with different functions, project teams, and production teams. The candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate. This is a 2nd shift position.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED and less than 3-5 years of prior relevant work experience
Experience soldering under a microscope
Ability to solder surface mount and through-hole components
Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610
Current or prior certification in J-STD-001

Responsibilities

Hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on low, medium and high density printed circuit boards (PCBs)
Soldering/working under a microscope
Perform rework of various electronic packages including resistors, capacitors, through-hole parts
Work to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output
Work independently under limited supervision
Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teams
