Job Summary: Electronic Assembler performs, with supervision, basic and routine electronic or hybrid assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions. The Assembler may also be responsible for other processes related to the manufacture of electronic assemblies including, but not limited to: encapsulation (potting), conformal coating, SMT operations, and painting. Electronics Focused Assemblers will also: Perform a wide range of complex electronic assembly and soldering operations on low voltage, high voltage, microwave or other components or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions. Perform a wide range of complex hybrid electronic assembly to include the handling of hybrid components, wire bonding, ribbon attaching, and manually attaching hybrid components (utilizing a variety of materials such as AuSi, AuSn, 1 mil gold wire, 15 mil gold ribbon, etc.) in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions all while utilizing a microscope. Prep components prior to assembly, clean components, wire bond, seal, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies. Non-Essential Functions: Understand and or participate with internal/external audits. Perform inventory cycle counts. Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvement. May be required to repair/rework defective or returned assemblies and/or inspect components or final assemblies. May also be responsible for other processes related to the manufacture of electronic assemblies including, but not limited to: encapsulation (potting), conformal coating, SMT operations, and painting.
