About The Position

Longenecker & Associates (L&A), a Geosyntec Company, is seeking a motivated PCB Design Engineer to support state-of-the-art printed circuit board (PCB) layout for large multi-disciplinary programs critical to national security. The successful candidate will support a team in the design, development, test, and deployment of novel embedded computing solutions. The Secure Embedded Systems department focuses on the development of secure and resilient computing solutions critical for national security.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.
Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship.
Successful candidates will be able to perform the essential functions of the job with reasonable accommodation.
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing.
Experience and understanding with printed circuit boards.

Nice To Haves

Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) Certification
Certified Interconnect Designer Advanced (CID+) Certification
Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD) certification
Experience with high-layer-count stack-ups (18+ copper layers)
Experience with PCB layout, testing, and debugging for applications involving state-of-the-art FPGAs, high speed, and large memory
Experience routing signals with high-speed data-rates (5+ gb/s)
Experience routing modern memory topologies (DDR4/5)
Experience with fine design features (3 mil trace & space)
Active DOE Q clearance

Responsibilities

Layout of custom, state of the art PCBs
PCB test and debug
Team with PCB Designers, firmware, and software engineers to create embedded computing solutions.
