About The Position

The PCA Manufacturing Technician III works onsite at a BAE Systems facility in Endicott, New York, collaborating closely with Printed Circuit Card Assembly (PCA) process owners and the Planning team. The role focuses on creating and updating work instructions for assigned circuit assembly cards by reviewing technical work documents, including blueprints, schematics, and drawings. Technical writing is a major aspect of the position. The technician also works with PCA operators and engineers and collects process data to support continuous improvement of work documents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education certificate.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in Printed Circuit Card Assembly (PCA).
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using surface-mount process equipment, including Dek, Pick and Place, ovens, and AOI.
• Experience with Select/Wave solder operations and Conformal Coat, among other areas of the PCA department.
• Experience with Windchill, FLX, and Oracle.
• Ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, schematics, drawings, and other technical work documents to create work instructions for assigned circuit assembly cards.
• Update existing work instructions and documents as needed.
• Work closely with PCA operators and engineers.
• Collect data related to PCA processes to drive continuous improvement in work documents.
• Collaborate with PCA process owners and the Planning team.
