About The Position

Right at Home is hiring PCA caregivers to provide compassionate in-home care and support for clients in Oceanside and other communities across Temecula Valley and North County San Diego. Caregivers help clients maintain quality of life in their own homes or at senior living communities. Full-time and part-time positions are available, with flexible shifts that may include mornings, days, overnights, weekdays, and weekends. The employer offers training, scheduling support, and competitive pay. The posted salary is $20–$21.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
Have a high school diploma or GED preferred.
Have preferably one year of caregiving experience, with at least six months; caring for a family member counts. Applicants new to the field may be trained.
Have reliable transportation to and from each shift.
Have a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
Pass a full employment background check.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual ability is a plus.
Experience with dementia, hospice, or care facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and toileting.
Help clients transfer and move throughout their homes.
Perform household tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, washing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks.
Provide transportation and accompany clients on errands or appointments.
Provide dementia care.
Offer companionship through activities such as reading, music, crafts, games, and puzzles.
Provide medication reminders.
Assist with prescribed range-of-motion exercises.
