About The Position

TEKsystems is hiring two PC Technicians to support hardware refresh and RAM replacement projects. One technician will focus on transferring data from old to new machines and imaging; the other will open computers, replace RAM, and reassemble them. The role provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 hardware and software support to remote and internal employees, including lab computer support, through remote access, phone, and desk-side visits. The position is based in Bellevue, Washington, with a hybrid workplace arrangement. It is a contract position paying $23.00–$26.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Migration or hardware refresh experience.
• Tier 1 or Tier 2 hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
• RAM replacement experience.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Reliability.
• Imaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Transfer data from old computers to new computers and image machines as part of hardware refreshes.
• Replace RAM in computers and reassemble the machines.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 hardware and software support to remote and internal employees through remote access, phone, or desk-side visits.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 hardware and software support for lab computers.
• Create work orders in a help desk system and dispatch them to other support technicians and IT groups.
• Assess and escalate serious or unusual problems to the appropriate IT group.
• Support Windows 7 and Windows 10 in a network environment.
• Diagnose and support hardware failures, operating system and application issues, and network connectivity problems.
• Provide work order status reports and metrics to management.
• Monitor help desk workload and prioritize work orders.
• Develop, test, and implement solutions to problems identified during troubleshooting.
• Assess training needs and develop training or self-help materials.
• Manage user accounts and phone accounts.
• Follow standard operating procedures and create or revise documentation as needed.
• Set up, deploy, and support mobile devices.
• Update end-user, hardware, and software inventory records.
• Monitor, diagnose, and repair computers, and perform preventative maintenance.
• Provide in-depth customer training and training materials.
• Order hardware, software, and computing peripherals.
• Work with team members on projects and coordinate with vendors.
