About The Position

Five Stones Research Corporation (5SRC) is seeking energetic candidates to join our established and growing Huntsville-headquartered team. This is a full-time position located in Huntsville, AL, with no travel expected. A Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one, is required, along with U.S. Citizenship.

Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
Experience with computer components, Windows operating systems, and software.
Ability to troubleshoot IT problems and apply known solutions.
Minimum of IAT-1 certification (A+, Network+, or SSCP) or higher.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Ability to obtain an interim DoD Secret Clearance prior to start date and maintain clearance throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of interim DoD Secret Clearance.
Active Security+ CE Certification or higher.
Prior work experience with Army Help Desk.
Excellent customer service skills.
Other relevant technical certifications outside those required.

Responsibilities

Assists in ensuring availability, accessibility, and usability of Information Technology (IT) hardware and software for IT enterprise.
Responds to PC users’ requests for assistance – primarily by telephone and e-mail messages – with hardware, applications or software either locally installed or network-based, and network connectivity in person or telephonically; troubleshoot, resolve or escalate to higher-level for resolution.
Installs software on personal computers (PCs).
Performs routine maintenance of PC hardware and software.
Prepares new PCs for use, and previously used PCs for reuse.
Administers PC users’ IT, including ensuring compliance with security requirements.
