About The Position

The PC Technician is responsible for ensuring users are able to conduct their day to day operations with the technology provided. The technician will be involved with administration, setup, and ongoing configuration and maintenance of user desktops and equipment to include servers, applications, routers/switches, firewalls, wireless connectivity, printers, and other technology equipment. In addition, the technician will participate with other team members on the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all systems, network hardware/software, and communication links.

Requirements

• Ability to multi-task, take direction, and provide feedback to team members
• Understanding of PC technical support, remote communications, local area and wireless networking, operating systems, software installation and configuration
• Very strong attention to detail with the ability to follow up and provide status updates clearly, concisely, and expediently
• Email troubleshooting skills and expertise
• Strong technology troubleshooting skills with ability to resolve complex PC/Network technology issues
• Ability and flexibility to adapt to a changing environment and multi-task assignments with a sense of enthusiasm, innovation, and quality
• Experience in meeting goals, and completing multiple projects
• Must be flexible to work after hours as needed
• Must be physically capable of operating vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Track all service requests, assets, and configurations in the available service desk tracking system, and work with Corporate Technology team members to implement and document best practice procedures and policies
• Install and maintain desktop, laptop, and peripheral hardware and software for multiple business units
• Follow procedures for software/hardware installation and configuration
• Adhere to and advocate Corporate Technology policies and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service by supporting end-users and coordinating with other departments and team members to resolve issues
• Update/install software to keep all workstations in compliance with company security standards
• Asset management of all workstations, software, and supporting documentation
• Support for computing devices, networking, telecommunication, and software packages used by business units
