The PBX unit serves as the hospital's central communications hub, responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing calls, paging systems, and emergency communication services 24 hours a day. Primarily responsible for answering and routing all incoming calls. Maintains current knowledge of all Code procedures, including Code 1, disaster, fire, bomb, and electrical alerts. Responds promptly and appropriately to all alarms and is responsible for overhead paging. Requires the ability to consistently manage multiple tasks simultaneously while operating multiple computer screens. Functions as the information desk for the organization. Consistently monitors and adheres to safety responsibilities and initiatives. Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Baptist Health.
