This role is responsible for the efficient and orderly registration of patients, ensuring all necessary patient information is collected and entered into the computer database. The position also involves distributing relevant information to ancillary nursing departments and participating in performance improvement and QI activities. Additionally, the Registrar/PBX handles all incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility, provides directory information, transfers calls, makes facility-wide announcements over the PA system, and manages the facility paging system.
