About The Position
The PBX Operator / Receptionist answers the switchboard and overhead pages, greets people, and directs them to the appropriate departments. The role monitors hospital alarms and requires awareness of the policies and procedures for all hospital emergency codes, as well as the ability to communicate with the population served. This is a per-diem night position with a stated schedule of 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required for new hires effective 4/1/14.
- Effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous PBX experience.
- Previous experience in an office or receptionist role.
- Customer service experience.
