As a PBX Operator at The Maybourne Beverly Hills, you will play a pivotal role in the efficient and professional handling of all incoming and outgoing communications within our prestigious hotel. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks that guarantee clear and reliable communications, creating a seamless experience for our guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in operating PBX systems, Opera, Knowcross and related technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Empathetic and courteous demeanor with guests and colleagues.
  • Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a PBX Operator in a luxury hotel or similar establishment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage the hotel's Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone system, handling all incoming and outgoing calls in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests by addressing inquiries and connecting them to the relevant departments and services.
  • Facilitate internal communication among hotel staff via email, call, text or radio to ensure that requests, messages, and information are relayed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist guests and staff with voicemail services, retrieving messages and providing guidance on usage.
  • Assist with guest requests via Knowcross input and following up until completion.
  • Provide administrative support to hotel operations as directed.
  • Maintain and distribute an accurate hotel call directory and distribute monthly.
  • Stay updated on the use of PBX systems, voicemail, and other communication technologies, ensuring their effective operation.
  • Continuously seek to enhance the guest experience by providing a swift and efficient response to guest requests and inquiries via phone, email, webchat, and text.
