About The Position

Heritage Grocers Group, LLC is seeking a data-driven, detail-oriented Payroll Systems Analyst to support implementation, configuration, and rollout of its Logile Workforce Management (WFM) and execution suite. The role bridges payroll operations, IT, and store operations, ensuring time and attendance data, labor models, scheduling rules, and pay policies are accurately mapped from Logile to the core payroll system to reduce compliance risks and support a successful rollout. The analyst collaborates with implementation vendors, IT, and HRIS to map payroll rules and configurations; validates system data through audits, integration testing, and parallel payroll runs; configures pay rules and related schedules and accruals; and assists with interfaces between Logile, HRIS, and payroll systems. The position also supports change management by creating procedures and training materials and providing tier-2 support during post-launch stabilization. Other duties may be assigned. The position is based at an assigned office location, with regular reporting to and work from that office considered an essential function. The work environment is typical of an office. The stated starting pay scale is $79,000 annually.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience supporting payroll, workforce management, HRIS, or related systems.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or heavily administering Logile or a direct tier-1 competitor such as UKG/Kronos, Ceridian Dayforce, or Blue Yonder.
  • Deep understanding of gross-to-net payroll processing, tax regulations, and payroll compliance.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including VLOOKUPs, Power Query, and Pivot Tables) or SQL to audit and reconcile large volumes of employee time records.
  • Proven ability to translate union contracts, shift differentials, and multi-state compliance laws, including FLSA and state-specific overtime requirements, into software system logic.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure timelines and resolve critical, time-sensitive system errors during a software rollout.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to store managers or payroll clerks.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to report to and work from the assigned office location regularly.
  • Ability to sit, stand, use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls, and lift up to 15 lbs; close vision and ability to adjust focus are also required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent education, training, and relevant work experience may substitute.
  • Experience participating in or leading WFM, timekeeping, or payroll system implementations.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designation.
  • Previous experience in grocery or large-scale retail.
  • Experience with ERP payroll systems such as Workday, SAP, ADP, or Oracle alongside WFM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the implementation vendor, IT, and HRIS to map legacy payroll rules, shift differentials, overtime policies, and time-tracking configurations into Logile.
  • Conduct end-to-end data audits, system integration testing, and parallel payroll runs to verify time clock data against gross pay calculations.
  • Configure pay rules, holiday schedules, paid time off accruals, and localized labor-law compliance rules in Logile.
  • Assist in designing and troubleshooting APIs or flat-file interfaces among Logile, core HRIS systems, and downstream payroll processing engines.
  • Draft standard operating procedures and create user training materials for store management.
  • Provide tier-2 hypercare support during the post-go-live stabilization period.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
