About The Position

As Payroll Supervisor, you'll lead a geographically diverse team, oversee large-scale U.S. payroll operations, and contribute to key payroll systems, process improvement, and operational excellence initiatives. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive, dedicated U.S. payroll experience, including high-volume payroll and strong year-end knowledge.
  • At least 1-2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, with demonstrated success developing employees and leading across locations or time zones.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll laws, with experience supporting multi-jurisdiction payroll.
  • Experience with a large-scale payroll or ERP platform is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting payroll systems, process improvements, compliance initiatives, organizational change, and CPP certification are considered assets.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accurate and timely processing of hourly and salaried U.S. payrolls, including regular and off-cycle payments, deductions, taxes, reconciliations, and year-end activities.
  • Lead and develop a distributed payroll team through clear goals, coaching, cross-training, workload planning, succession planning, and accountability.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with various stakeholders to support payroll configuration, testing, controls, data integrity, and ongoing payroll system enhancements and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR Operations, Benefits, Finance, Learning & Development, and operational leaders to resolve issues and improve payroll service.
  • Strengthen payroll controls, documentation, SOPs, audit readiness, business continuity, and consistent practices across U.S. locations.
