About The Position

This is a part-time position, consisting of three 8-hour day shifts (24 hours) per week. Ideally, shifts would be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but flexibility is possible as long as the days worked are within Monday-Friday. This role acts as a lead in supporting staff scheduling, timekeeping, reporting, and other payroll-related functions to support operations. The position functions as a backup for the manager and payroll/staffing for all transactions and job postings. Additionally, it provides administrative support to Nursing Administration and other areas. This position does not require patient care.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in a related field of study required.
  • Experience in payroll processing: 5-7 years required.
  • Proficient in using office productivity software such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues and make sound decisions independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures daily master schedules are provided for the manager, nursing/payroll, and collaborates with staff availability to work.
  • Ensures optimum staffing efficiency of each unit by assigning Resource Team staff to fill vacancies and approved time off, as well as last-minute sick calls, emergencies, and varying acuity levels.
  • Lead timekeeper responsibility, ensuring that information is entered correctly and in a timely fashion.
  • Prepares changes in systems and performs regular audits of data.
  • In the absence of a manager, prepares changes for promotions/demotions/transfers, posts vacant positions for all inpatient units, and leads the team.
  • Lead data quality audits, prepare reports, and present information to leadership.
  • Provide orientation and training of new payroll staff.
